12TH ANNUAL NUTCRACKER AUDITIONS
audition for our 12th annual nutcracker
Join us for another beautiful year of The Nutcracker, directed by Ballet Director Amy Leonards & choreographed by Amy Leonards, TADA Ballet Faculty, and Guest Artists! Participating dancers share in the joy of performing in a professional ballet! Performances will be in December, 2026, Dates TBA, alongside our annual Holiday Market.

AUDITION REGISTRATION: PLEASE REGISTER IN YOUR CUSTOMER PORTAL HERE
- May 2 - YBC Dancers Only: Youth Ballet Company Auditions are May 2nd and at this time, YBC candidates will ALSO audition for roles in the Nutcracker and Spring Ballet Shows. Times as follows: 12-1pm Level 1, 1:15-2:30pm Levels 2 & 3, 2:45-4:15pm Levels 4+, and 4:30-6pm Levels 6+
- May 3 - Open Audition: Auditions for the Nutcracker are open to any dancers in our wider ballet program, at least age 7 by Oct 1, 2026, who have had at least one year of ballet and are enrolled in a ballet class at TADA. Times as follows: 12-1pm Preballet + Level 1, 1:15-2:30pm Levels 2 & 3, 2:45-4:15pm Levels 4+, and 4:30-6pm Levels 6+
About the Nutcracker:
The Nutcracker is a stunning, storytelling ballet centered on the E.T.A. Hoffmann original 1816 writing about a young girl named Clara who receives a wooden Nutcracker that comes to life as a prince on Christmas Eve. The adventure unfolds with an array of magical creatures including the Mouse Queen, Snow Queen, and of course the Sugar Plum Fairy as Clara is transported in a beautiful winter sleigh through the Land of Snow to her golden throne in the Land of Sweets.
