This Privacy Policy explains how Texas Academy of Dance Arts ("TADA," "we," "us") collects, uses, and protects information through our website, dancetada.com, our online forms, our registration and customer portal, our app, and our text-message programs. It covers both of our text-message programs: TADA Family Studio Texts and TADA Instructor Text Reminders.
Information we collect
Information you give us: When you register for classes, request a free trial, join our newsletter, fill out a form, contact us, or opt in to text messages, we may collect parent/guardian and student names, email address, phone and mobile number, mailing address, student birth date and class information, and any other details you choose to provide. Class registration, billing, and the customer portal are provided through our studio management system, Jackrabbit Class. Payment card information entered there is handled by that system and its payment processor, and we do not store full card numbers on our website.
Text-message information: If you opt in to one of our text programs, we collect your name, mobile number, your consent choice, and the date and time you opted in. When the program operates, we also process message content, your replies, delivery records, and opt-out requests.
Information collected automatically: Like most websites, our website and its hosting provider may use cookies and similar technologies to keep the site working, remember your preferences, and understand site traffic and how visitors use our pages. You can manage cookies through the site's cookie banner and your browser settings.
How we use information
We use information to provide and manage classes, registration, billing, events, and performances. We also use it to communicate with families and staff about schedules, closures, deadlines, and studio news; to send text messages to people who have opted in; to respond to questions; to keep records of consent and opt-outs; and to operate and improve our website and services.
Text messaging (SMS) privacy
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All of the categories of sharing described in this policy exclude text-messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties. We do not sell or share your mobile number, SMS opt-in data, or messaging consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing purposes.
Service providers that support our text programs, such as Google Workspace, Jackrabbit Class, Zapier, Twilio, and wireless carriers, process this information only as necessary to operate the service, not for their own marketing.
TADA Family Studio Texts: Sent from (832) 261-4770 to parents and guardians of currently enrolled TADA dancers who opt in by checking the text-message consent box during TADA's online registration (Jackrabbit Class). Messages are informational only: studio schedule updates, closures and open/closed notices, registration and fee deadlines, and performance and event information such as dates, times, and where to find ticket details. We do not send marketing or promotional texts in this program. Message frequency varies, up to 8 messages per month.
TADA Instructor Text Reminders: Sent from (936) 249-1052 to TADA instructors who opt in. These are non-marketing messages about teaching schedules, instructor deadlines, studio closures, and other work-related announcements. Message frequency varies with the instructor calendar and studio needs.
For both programs: Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time, or reply HELP for help. Texting is optional and is not a condition of enrollment, employment, or any purchase. Texts are sent only to adults (18 or older) who opt in. Please do not include sensitive student, medical, or payment information in text replies.
How we share information
We do not sell personal information. We share information only with service providers that help us run the studio, such as our studio management and payment systems, website hosting, email, automation, and text-messaging providers, and only as needed to provide their services to us. We may also share information if required by law or to protect the safety of our students, families, and staff. As stated above, text-messaging opt-in data and consent are never shared with third parties.
Children's information
Our website is directed to parents, guardians, and adult students. Information about students under 13 is provided by a parent or guardian, for example during registration. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13 through our website. Text messages are sent only to the adult who opted in.
Data security and retention
We use reasonable measures to protect information, and access is limited to authorized TADA staff and necessary administrators. We keep information as long as needed to provide our services, keep records of consent and opt-outs, and meet legal and accounting obligations.
Your choices
You can update your account information through the customer portal or by contacting us. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in the email. You can stop text messages at any time by replying STOP. To request access to, correction of, or deletion of your information, contact us; some records may be kept as required for consent, legal, or accounting purposes.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date above shows when it was last updated.
